Make sure the seller posts here and has an AgTag. (See circled that you have) It helps ensure validity. If not an AgTag, make them post here first history on the account.

Maybe it's time for an 'Aggies Only' Ticket Exchange...

Nah just do due diligence. Have bought and sold tons of tickets on here no problem.

I agree, I would prefer an "Ags only" exchange.

I feel there are enough folks I have sold tickets too on here that would back me but that's your choice to roll with Ag Tag sellers.

Quick tip. If you send paypal to someone you arent 100% sure on, DO NOT do friends and family. Pay the fee and your purchase is protected.

Always use a credit card if in doubt - easier to recover via charge back.

Just check the posting history, if it is a new account run away.

Easiest solution. You can tell quickly who is legit or not.

Also add the additional funds to the purchase price so the seller is made whole. While I understand why someone may do it, they need to pay the full agreed price to the seller.

For sure. The seller should be able to tell you what extra you should add on but if not you can check at https://www.salecalc.com/paypal

This person reached out to me when I had a post about needing tickets on here a couple of weeks ago. A quick google search of their number showed they're an active scammer on multiple different sites.

Chicago area code and a Venmo account with no friends, no public transactions, nor a profile picture…..cmon now.

1) if they contact you after your WTB post, make them comment on the thread. You'll be able to see their posting history or if they're a brand new account.

2) have them send a screenshot of their 12thMan account info or recent orders from the 12thMan

3) ask a few questions, i.e. what's your name? Look them up on social media/linkedin. Do you have any pictures from these seats?

4) pay for 1 ticket and have them send it, if it's real, buy the rest (at least you don't get scammed for the full amount)

5) if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

It's really not that hard. I've made dozens of transactions here without an AgTag but the recent uptick in "I got scammed" posts could unfortunately impact that in the future.
