In this case, my wife and I are going to Chicago in a couple of weeks and I wanted to buy 2 tickets to the 10/1 Bears/Broncos game. I'm asking for this reason but the same questions could apply for any NFL, NHL, NBA, or MLB game. I usually buy off Ticketmaster just because it seems the safest option and I've used Stubhub in the past as well but the number of scammers these days is nuts and I don't mind paying for things but Ticketmaster is always so expensive.

I am thankful for the Texags ticket exchange for my Aggie tickets but it's hard to find similar trustworthy sellers out there. I even asked the Chicago A&M club FB page if anyone knew a good way to get Bears tickets and this morning someone messaged me about some but since it's a public FB group and due to another couple of reasons I'm not convinced that it's not a scam and that person is not a member of the A&M club group.

So what would my best bet be when purchasing professional game tickets and in this case the Bears game? Just buy off Ticketmaster the day before the game for the cheapest price for whichever seats I'm interested in? Some other website? Best way to pay strangers for tickets? I read the "Be Careful" thread on the ticket exchange too but any help ya'll can give me is greatly appreciated. I'm just wondering how to get the best price I can for good seats to a professional game whatever that may be lol and mostly to be sure that it's legit ticket and not a scam. Thanks!
