How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hey Folks

Will be taking my son (age 12) to his first A&M game, on Nov-11. I am "planting the seed" early on Texas A&M, he is interested in a computer science related career field.

With that said, are these seats decent ? Do we need to bring cushions/etc to sit on ? Anything we need to be aware of ?

Type: Public Single
Neighborhood: South 3rd Deck
Section: 349

Also, where is midnight yell practice held at ?

Thank you

I'd try to get closer to the action if you want to leave an impression (if your budget permits). Demand should be pretty low and prices are down.

I do not know your budget. If you can find decent zone, legend, or all American club tickets - it would be worth it for one game.

Midnight Yell is at Kyle Field ... get there by 11:40 or so and y'all can watch the band, Yell Leaders, etc walk in. No ticket needed.

My advice is wait until the day of the game to buy, there is no possible way there won't be tickets available, and they are guaranteed to only go down in price.

Buy from here or https://aggies.flashseats.com/

Get seats in one of the following, whatever fits your budget.

Any of LC's
Any of the FB's (FB3 - FB11 are best)
Any of the AC's (AC3-AC10 are best)
125 or 126
303-310

You will have a good view/atmosphere in any of these seats.

Technically the third deck. These are the very small section or armchair seats (10 rows, I think) right above the luxury suites. I can send you a photo if you like.

Midnight Yell is held on the student side (East). I agree that getting there at 11:40 is a good time to watch the band march in and the junior yell leaders do their thing. Should be a good experience!

I agree with FlashSeats. If you have time, look around that site. You can bid on seats so don't be put off by someone asking several hundred dollars for a seat that will likely sell for $ 75, or less. Basically, ignore the asking price and put in a bid on some GOOD seats. Try to get in Zone Club (in case of rain and has better food) or Field Box (FB on Flash Seats) to sit behind Aggie bench. Last game I took grandkids to, we had field box and when game started, they were able to move down right behind bench (I guess a block of seats are set aside for guests or something).

Doesn't look "horribly bad" we are looking at the entire experience not necessarily 50-yard line views per se. Maybe I missed something.

I will also look at Flash Seats, thank you

I would recommend section 125-126. As the game gets closer, they will get cheaper. That is the perfect area to get him *in* the experience... Close to the band, people doing the yells all around, and he will have a perfect view of the band at half time. Whatever you do, make sure he sees the band at halftime. The last band performance of the year is the best by far.

Your seats aren't bad. They're actually at a great angle to the field. Hope you and your son have a great experience.

I didn't say they were bad "horribly bad". I said they were the worst seats in the stadium.

That pic can be misleading because the high 300's has many rows. As someone who buy tickets for guests all the time, I am telling you these tickets will be selling for less than the concessions the day of the game. They will be cheap because...

  • They are bench seats
  • They are far away
  • They don't have a good perspective for large chunks of the field
  • The section will be empty
  • The section will be dead
  • You don't have a view of the big jumbo tron
