This past weekend Texas A&M 1 and 2 teams went to Kansas City to compete in the Division 1 and 3 NIRSA Championships. 1st team went in ranked 10th in the nation but had one misstep against Northern Illinois and advanced to the Silver bracket. They made it to the semi-finals of the consoloation and lost to Dayton. They ended up 19th overall.
2nd team went in ranked 8th in Div 3 and won all games but one in our pool. We lost to Arizona the eventual champs and then in Gold Bracket play lost to Illinois who was runner up. 2nd team finished Nationals with a 5 ranking and was very proud of the way we played.
Next year looks to be promising with returners for both teams. Thanks to all those who support us.
"Kids in Texas grow up wanting to be Longhorns or Aggies, not Red Raiders. Texas Tech is kind of like Denny's. Nobody leaves the house planning to eat at Denny's. It's just some place you wind up at four in the morning."
