Also I submit my proposal again to NCAA and IAAF, that the multi events should not have a final score, you just have a staggered start based on your point total coming into the last running event and that way it is first to the finish line wins. None of this trying to do math as soon as people cross the line.

Yes it is. As a longtime high jump official here at A&M I haven't seen this before. He passed because he is so far behind in the tie breaker being misses. Unfortunately he missed last two attempts at 7-2 1/4

Theres a chance but it will be difficult. Running right at his PR in the 1k will put him around 13th-16th on the performance list this season. (top 16 make it) but the multi events are one some athletes don't compete at until conference, plus people out performing their previous mark.blommy said:

Another rule proposal: If 4 athletes from the same team make the final in the 400. That team automatically wins the 4x4 without having to race and the other schools race for 2nd.
For every athlete that makes the 400 final, 50 less meters on the relay!
I'll drink to that.
