I quoted myself because that was my 1st post after you wanted to debate it. Sports resort to that format when they don't have the support or venue for neutral. Volleyball is not in that category now

College basketball championships haven't been played on someone's home floor in the lifetime of anyone not on Medicare. I am at least capable of acknowledging there is a reason for that.

glad to hear no college hoops teams have been "screwed" lately.

Does it count if tOSU is in the tourney when it's played at Nationwide in a few years? Or is that OK because it's not officially the Home stadium they just played some of their games there? I need to know so I can tell if somebody got screwed

How did that work out for Louisville?

Kentucky already added two starters from Purdue to go along with 1st team all American Brooklyn DeLeye! They should be the favorites in the sec next year! We'll see who tu adds, but they have some crazy talented freshman coming in

Going from 'others receiving votes' to 16 is a pretty darn good jump. ASU was ranked 8 and even though we beat them at their place they still have an excellent record so not a huge drop.

I wonder where we will start next year? Should be the same or higher with a ton of starters returning with some great players coming in.

I could have easily seen us above SMU and I don't worry about the sips because we will beat them next year, no problem, regardless of their rank or who they bring in!

I think it is a good spot for us. We were on the cusp of taking down a top 10 team (easily could have won!) but we are not volleyball royalty (yet) so we don't get the benefit of the doubt.

SMU won some very good games so they aren't going anywhere. Hate their strategy that got them a really good mature team. Not sure if it will last if they don't recruit talent normally. I haven't checked what they have coming in.

Maybe we should be above ASU by 1.

Macari Spears is something!

They reloaded in the portal with some young talent, they will be back…. SMU is finding a formal that works for them across all sports.

And they also signed 6 high schoolers, who were expecting to come into a new young team lol but instead they went and got 6 transfers…

I'll take the bond our core group of girls have built vs a collection of talent thrown together any day of the week!

her and Abby Vander Waal are going to be scary! Vander Waal could be just as good as Spears! If they're smart they throw those two young girls out there and build around them, but knowing Texas they'll go get some transfers to play over them

she was 6th in the ACC in blocks per set behind some all Americans in that conference! Les her team in blocks and was 5th in kills! She's an amazing option to have behind Cos-Okpalla and Perkins! And it'll give us an option after we have many seniors leave after 2025!

All as a freshmen, she's going to be very good. I like this pickup ALOT. Very accurate, very much in the image of our current middles. Explosive and strong
