17-7 has a nice ring to it, and we are most likely going to stay in the 5 spot in the conference standings
Overall we played inconsistently. If we had played any decent team, I felt we would have lost. Luckily Georgia played worse other than their star middle. Her slide attack caused us fits all night.
The 1st set we should have won and gone on to a sweep but I've never seen a worse serving performance to start a game. I think we gave them 5 of their first 9 points due to service errors. Offensively and blocking was clicking too to start. Had we made our serves, it should have been an easy set.
Cos' blocking was amazing. Perkins hitting was unstoppable at times.
Not sure how good a blocking team GA is but we were stuffed a little too much for my liking on the outsides. Were the sets short all night? I don't recall many hits down the line especially from Lednicky. She usually tattoos a couple that way every game.
The biggest positive is our blocking and is the identity of this team. We are going to need it to have a good post-season.

I didn't see all the game posts, but the last time we played was Nov. 13th - 9 days ago. We've seen it from football teams coming off a bye to basketball teams not playing for a week. The first part of the game is almost always rough. If we are being fair, you can't discount that lay-off effect.

The love between Jamie and the fans is great. Jamie was in the stands (as usual) to saw em off, but this time was standing between 2 students who were wearing bald caps and face paint to mimic Jamie's facial hair. It has been fun to see the connection between Jamie and the students grow these last two seasons.
Jamie has said multiple times that the 12thman is a big part of the reason he came here. He recounts watching the tu-A&M game while he was an assistant at tu and thinking A&M is a place he could really grown the sport. And even with that, he admits that he has been blown away by the support of the students and the alumni/donors have shown.
It should be said those two students were women in bald caps and drawn on beards. They looked super excited that he acknowledged them.
