I assume Miller will go to the front early. I hope Whitmarsh takes control of his heat from the get go and doesn't let himself get boxed in during the first 400. Getting boxed in during a slowish heat is very risky.

Yes we need Whitmarsh to get out to the lead pack especially with his long stride! He can stay with Isaiah Harris and either of the two can take it! He just has to stay with the top group and not risk anything by saving too much for the end!! He likes to lead prelims at his pace, but it'll be much faster today presumably!

The heat went out so fast but slowed down, Whitmarsh was 5th at the 400 mark but closed strong and won the heat with a 1:46.13, the fastest time throughout the first two heats

His best last year was 13.67! His heat this year is 13.15 and he's now in the 110 Hurdle Finals in the Olympic Trials! Hes incredible, one of my favorite track Aggies ever!!

Thank you for adding context like this! I usually only see our athletes at the US Championships or the Olympics so it's nice to see this background.
