I met Mark yesterday morning and he stated it happens all the time with the Singles and Doubles. I bet she may be headed home,

I am late to the celebration, but I want to say it was a magical and magnificent season, full of countless highlights. Congratulations to our players and coaches of the Fightin' Texas Aggie 2024 National Champion ladies tennis team!!

Currently the only school in the SEC without an indoor tennis facility, the addition of the multipurpose facility makes Texas A&M a more viable option to host conference, NCAA and national events like the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The complex will give Aggie student-athletes the opportunity to train for indoor competition while at A&M and for their professional careers. Additionally, the facility will allow outdoor matches impacted by inclement weather to continue as scheduled. The project is expected to be completed 24 months after the signing of the agreement by all parties.

The 65,000-square-foot facility will feature six courts that meet NCAA and United States Tennis Association standards and will be located in Travis Bryan Midtown Park, just over three miles from the Mitchell Tennis Center.

So a question. How far are other school's indoor facilities from their outdoor ones? Three miles isn't real far but is it feasible to halt an outdoor match because of the weather and immediately bus them over to this facility?

I have no idea what the norm is so I'm just asking if that's the way it normally works at other schools.

Bussing them is not that big of a deal. In our match yesterday it was a while after play was suspended prior to them starting back up.

Obviously it would be better if they were right next to the outdoor courts like they are at many other schools, but there are some that are much further away than ours will be. t.u.'s is about 20 miles away through Austin traffic.

thb, tu's outdoor facility sucks, too. who wants to play with highways and cars flying by you overhead constantly.

I'm excited for the indoor facility! Would love to see what the inside will like. Oklahoma State's facilities are incredible. Also, really hoping for major upgrades to the outdoor facilities.

Yet there was a delay and everything was perfectly fine which was my main point Mr contrarian. Thus our two facilties not being by each other is just fine.

The delay has nothing to do with the facilities being by each other. LOL. Duh

Mia has struggled all season long to close out matches. She's just as good as many of these girls but can't get over the finish line. 6-2, 5-0 and she's lost 4 games in a row. Mental game is the biggest hurdle to overcome at the top.

Bit of a struggle for the Aggie ladies on the links today, but they move onto match play as a 3 seed and Adela Cernousek takes the individual Championship. The first Aggie lady to do so.
