They look good so far, but damn, these late puck drops test my fandom…
Yeah these are hard to get used to these. It was somehow a lot easier before I got in my mid30s with 3 kids.
Both teams look real sloppy so far, unfortunately we look sloppier. Definitely still trying to get our sea legs under us still

Just a horrible loss
We got a point on the road against the team that just lifted the cup. Disappointing to give up the late lead, but I wouldn't say horrible.
I mean that aspect is great, but felt like we had the better team in all three phases tonight. Jake had some huge saves at the end that could have robbed of us even 1 point.
But that's one that when we look back in 3-4 months that will have a sour taste imo.

Look at it this way: we beat them every game in the regular season last year. Do with that what you will.
Most teams leave Vegas with nothing. 1 point ain't bad. Especially early in the season.
I thought last night was "fine". Would have liked to get 2 points, but it's hard to get into a rhythm when you play once and then have to wait 5 days. That was Vegas' 4th game.
Once we get into a regular schedule, I think this team will really start humming. I think we'll look back and appreciate that this team started with 3 of 4 points.

It started off that way for me very briefly, but then fixed itself.
Their arena is so quiet, it sounds like a CoVID game. The on-ice mics are picking up absolutely everything.
