By getting that 3rd team involved in the Tanev deal to take on 75% of his salary (instead of 50) and the few extra paper moves with Stankoven, we'll apparently still be cap compliant. Allegedly, the plan is to play Dadonov on Wednesday to see how he does.
Tomorrow we are taking our 8 year old and soon to be 4 year old to their first game. They're so excited that they requested I go to the Hangar today in Frisco for new gear.

I live in Phoenix and it's wild that it seems like this is barely a blip on the radar here. They just don't seem to care all that much. It's pretty wild for a metropolitan area that is the 11th biggest in the country to lose their team to a metro that is barely top 50. And it's just apathy.
Maybe they have just seen it coming for a while, but I could not imagine how I would feel if Dallas lost the Stars...

I'm less surprised that they're leaving Phoenix than I am that they're relocating to Utah. That owner of the Jazz seems pretty serious though. I bet he makes it work out there.

My neighbor, who works within the team, has told me they are working to move to Collin County area specifically Frisco area. Lease is up at AAC in a couple seasons

They surveyed all victory club members… supposedly more than 60% are in the north Dallas through Collin county market running west into Denton county.
Large chunk of folks and they already practice in Frisco.

Win today, and we clinch the Central division.
Technically, Vancouver could still catch us points wise for the Western Conference and they would have the tie breaker (1st tie breaker is regulation wins). But that would mean Vancouver has to win all 3 of their remaining games, and Dallas would have to lose on Wednesday.
If Dallas wins either tonight or Wednesday and Vancouver loses in regulation or OT in any of their 3 remaining games, we win the west and have home ice until the Stanley Cup Final.
Still a chance we can edge out NYR for the Presidents Trophy, but Carolina's right there too.
All 8 teams in the west are set. We could see LA, Nashville, or Vegas in the 1st round, with Vegas being the most likely at this point (assuming we win the West, of course).

Dumb rule. If you cover the puck in the crease it should be an automatic goal, not a penalty shot. That just rewards the defense in my opinion
Agreed. Also, in the event of a penalty shot, I think it should become a PP if the shot is missed.
