It makes too much sense to me, but DeBoer would never do it. Pavs has just run out of steam. Could you imagine the outcry if he sat Captain America?

Was just about to say this.
He has a little bit of pre Bob Gainey, Mike Modano in him. All kinds of offensive talent but doesn't really put in the effort on the defensive end. The BIG difference is that he doesn't have Mo's speed.
13 SOGS with 12 scoring chances. They may not be pouring it on but they're making the most out of 'em
He has the scoring touch and that's about it. Modano had the physical gifts to mold into a defensive player
Yeah, I don't know that he'll ever be able to round out his game but when I watch him I can't tell if it's because he can't or he won't. Up to him because he could really take the next step to elite status if he puts in the work. Then again, he may just not have the tools.
