The NHL needs to look at powerplays at the end of periods. Let them play out. Then deduct the overage from the following period. Breaking up a PP feels like a punishment.

You do get fresh ice though on the other side, but you have to take advantage of it.

Certainly not a new idea I'm having. Just sucks because we were humming there at the end. Hopefully we can take advantage of the fresh sheet. I heard someone suggest a penalty at the end of a period/game gets played out "untimed". But it's not like it's going to change.
