TCU wins the 4th set 25-17 and the match.

Next up for the Ags is a home match against last year's sweet 16 participant Houston on Wednesday.

Only watched the last two sets. Can't believe our main three offensive weapons were shutdown. Most stats about the equal except our hitting errors and their blocks.

Houston didnt make the final four

Ledinecky had a rough night outside of 4 kills in the last few points of the 4th set. Bionna had a great night for a fish. We need more out of Meuth. The entire team didn't appear to have the same focus. Shake it off and prepare for the next one.

We had too many hitting errors and our block wasnt as effective as it has been all season. TCU was able to get the ball up on some plays and keep the play alive and i recall they scored quite a bit when that occurred from their scrambling effort.

Hitting errors at certain points in the match hurt to give them a insurmountable lead and they are a solid team likely once again an NCAA team.

Logan was hitting negative for most of the match until she has three kills within like a five play swing to get us back in the match in the fourth set only to immediately give it all back

While our RS wasnt able to get any points for a long while in the match they werent getting blocks like usual

We switched up some things and went to a 5-1 for a bit but it didnt work out. Cos had a substandard game for her but i think that is a complete outlier and she will bounce back. Muoneke was doing OK for a long while then started to have a lot of neutral swings then towards the end had three hitting errors i think in a row to put us out of reach

The difference was hitting errors and lack of blocking or funnelling the attack better which has been the staple of every match i have watched either live or on video

We had 32 hitting errors alone compared to their 17...add the ability to keep the ball in play and then win points where it seemed when we kept ball in play we eventually lost a majority of the scramble points

Bounce back against a solid Houston club and then Liberty and get ready for conference play

Hopefully with the 2024 class we can focus on bringing up top transfers at needed positions to build off what Jamie and staff did year 1! Then we bring in the loaded and talented 2025 class! I'm absolutely pumped and excited about the direction Aggie volleyball is headed!

Houston has a really good libero(from College Station HS). She's one of the top 5 liberos in the country. Also have 2 legit OH, one transferred from Tech/Mizzou. They are very well coached and think they will be a problem.

For us to win, we have to block. If we can shut down their OH I think we win easily. If we can't shut them down, then I think we need to feed our middles and Ledinecky. We will have a size and athleticism advantages over them. But no doubt, this should be a good match! Looking forward to seeing how we show up after the TCU loss. Hoping Hogan steps up too

I mean, look at Nebraska. 1st all American libero starting, and still bring in the #1 HS libero last year. We need to stack some DS help. Also think they could add a middle. Not sure Brown is the answer as far as depth goes

you always are trying to upgrade the roster....ALWAYS it is then the girls responsibility to show the staff you cant take me off the court I am too valuable

But with transfer portal and girls thinking they need immediate playing time you can lose players pretty easily

That said we lose Meuth and Hogan for sure due to eligibility so they have to be replaced on the court.

But if we are searching for the greatest talent to bring to the roster i bet it comes from 2025 class and the transfer portal after this season. We are thin at DS right now with one in concussion protocol I believe and only Underwood and Hogan. currently available.

That said if we trot out the same lineup with another outside and new libero (underwood) perhaps we will be even stronger after another year under this staff. I like both of the middles and the RS i think is set and OH2 can move to OH 1 after this season if need be but we have to replace at least one OH obviously could be interesting to see what develops but as long as we dont lose any starters from tranfer portal and add a couple of pieces until 2025 I think we are good

Good assessment! I'm interested to see how Bionna plays during SEC play. I could also see us adding another setter. With Nina being a junior, and Margrot coming back from an injury, it would be wise for depth purposes. Kira will be a day 1 starter, but I'd be interested to see if they still run a 6-2 and she plays 6 rotations. She's a very capable hitter. No way she comes off the court.

it starts with blocking. So many shots coming through untouched or if there is a touch, it goes out.

It doesn't help when we're sending over free balls or hitting everything out. It's easy to run an offense when you get a free ball with an older team
