Would be crazy and maybe a little to late in fall camp! Probably just a rumor, however maybe Sumlin would still be here had Fred Kerley tried football! But would Mond have been able to hit Kerley down field

I'm sure he would be decent at football but if you are the best in the world in one thing, why would you go do something you haven't done in a decade/since high school? He's already getting paid and a gold medal at worlds in the premier track event will only increase that.

He's just hitting his "stride" in the 100m, so would seem a weird time to try another sport

My understanding is it started with a focus to increase his top level speed and then he had an ankle problem on turns and eventually turned into a realization he's really good at those races which turned into an effort to prove doubters wrong and do something unique.
