What a great meet! From what I hear everybody thinks having it in Eugene was a massive success. I'm sure they'll have the meet there again soon.

The women's 4x4 was an all sec crew tonight.
So that's cool.

Awesome meet and loved all the Aggie representation. This makes me want to check out future opportunities to go in person!

Athing stated in her post match interview that she wasn't feeling her best today and that she did her best to have enough in the tank in the last 150 to try and bring it home.

She handles pressure so we'll. What a star.

Some of my take aways from the World Championships:

1. NCAA track and field athletes are top notch. Regardless of the opinions of being "overworked...too many races". The NCAA metal count would be substantial and would have probably come in second to the USA totals.

2. USA track and field is supreme over all others.

3. USA mens sprinting is back.

4. The weather in Eugene is much drier in July than it ever is during the NCAA championships.

...and Keely Hodgkinson is a badass. Will be interesting to see if it turns into Bolt-like dominance, or if Hodgkinson can make it an Evert-Navratilova war. Either way, hope to see both of them running this for the next 10 years.

Kelly has looked really good all year. I'm glad Mu has her. That rivalry will help her break the WR
We'll see. That dude that holds the world record had a LOT of help.

Yeah, Mu's best is still nearly 2 seconds off that ridiculous PED driven record from the early 80s.

If you go to throwing those questionable records out, you have to include FloJo's.

Fine by me. She was a textbook cheat. It's a shame, but the women's 100, 200, 400, and 800 are all tainted. The 80s were the wild west of drug cheating

Americans at least had a choice. The East Germans would shoot up their athletes like lab rats and not even tell them what it was.
