Dual meets are funky! Top 4 score and only 2 from each team can score regardless of place, and the scoring goes 5, 3, 2, 1... so events we dominate we could win 8-3, but for example our men's triple jump we can lose 8-0 cause we have no one. Later on this week I'll break down how the meet will project... but based on initial thoughts, thank God we beat them in baseball lol

I think it's a safe bet that we put people that don't normally TJ in the TJ (and other events). We will not want to lose the points.

Will be interesting to see who is the '12th Man' in those events.

Likely true, I just don't know who on the men's side. I think we have a shot to take them down on the men's side, given Achane has a great day and can sweep the 100/200, Bamidele and Hanson/Mpoke sweep the 400, Eric Casarez holds off a distance sweep for Texas, and our Pole Vault and High Jump guys go 1-2. They'll likely beat us in the shot and discus, but maybe we get the advantage in the jav and hammer. They have so many sprinters on the women's side it's scary. Unless Zhane and Laila can come between them or possibly take them down, they are going to score a lot. We need our 800 girls and hurdlers to step up! Besides Jav, their girls will dominate us in the throws. Hopefully Annie Fuller, Gemma Goddard, and Julia Black have a good day. They can be key! Either way it should be fun and interesting, a lot of fast times will come out of this as well!

Sweeping the 400 is a big ask. Casarez sweeping the distance even more so. Neither jav guy threw last weekend so that doesn't bode well either. I'd take the meet being closer than last year as a W (on both sides).

I am guessing that we may not see entries til sometime later tomorrow… I believe that final entries are not due til noon tomorrow.

Start lists up. Goddard is running the steeple. I think she'll do well - decent speed and tall. Foster will make his discus debut. I would have like to see him try the hammer also, but he can try next week. Our vertical jumpers are horizontal jumpers this week.

Probably not doing the hammer this year but will most likely participate in weight throw next indoor.

Wish I was there to watch in person, but good debut time for Goddard. Anyone know how she was over the jumps? I think she can definitely get down to 10 minutes.

Honest question why are we making Lance Broome long jump when we need him more in the sprints today, and why are we making injury prone James Smith throw a javelin... we have other athletes to use?

Also anyone know if Sam Hankins is injured?
