Real track begins now! Also love how the team has been in Tempe since Monday! Real bonding time!
Wow that start list got me excited!! Nearly a full competitive roster minus Sam Hankins, Bryce Foster, and Immanuela Aliu! Jania Martin is scheduled in the 100, 200, and 400. James Smith and Moitalel Mpoke are scheduled in the 400Hurdles! Athing Mu is running a 600 along with Bailey Goggans and Avi'tal Wilson-Perteete! Our 800 guys are running the 1500. A 400 heat of Jania Martin, Syaira Richardson, Kennedy Wade, Jaevin Reed, and Laila Owens... woah! And a men's 400 heat of Emmanuel Bamidele, Moitalel Mpoke, Omajuwa Etiwe, and Chevannie Hanson! Also the much anticipated debuts of Katelyn Fairchild and Lianna Davidson as well as the returns of Natalie Schiefele and Nick Mirabelli in the javelin from injury!! Looks like Bara Sajdokova's will be able to compete as well! Let's go get some top 48 quality times and put on a show!

Interesting 4x100 line for the women
Hall, Smith, Robinson, Owens
My ideal 4x100 would be
Zhane Smith, Laila Owens, Jania Martin and Taejha Badal
If Aliu is healthy then she can replace Badal.

I'm assuming the order goes Zhane Smith - Kaylah Robinson- Laila Owens - Rachel Hall, but I'm glad to see Teajha Badal and Jania Martin running the open 100! Maybe they can prove they belong on the relay! Hopefully Aliu is also healthy soon!
I really like how Zhane started the relays last year and how Laila ran the curve, but I think Laila is fast enough to be any leg 2-3-4
Depending on if we get one of the 400 ladies on the relay, the order should be Robinson, Owens, Hall, Smith. Robinson will give you a good start, Owens will cover the most distance and run the curve, Hall worst of the 4 and will run the shortest, and Smith finishes with the best 100m speed of the 4.
I'm not totally jazzed about that group. We need some more horsepower so to speak and I don't see it. I'd wager Georgia, tu, UF, UK, and Arky all have better 4x1s than us.

They updated the start lists and lots of changes were made! No Acquah, Achane, Miller, Bamidele, Young. Alessio Piruccio and Luke Barrett kick things off in the Hammer right now. Running begins 7:30 central time
Lamara Distin didn't compete, but the high jumpers didn't perform like they usually do, well under their PR's besides Mason Corbin who cleared 7'0. Maybe they were doing short approaches.
Okay based on video I know for sure Bara Sajdokova jumped from 6 steps! We can relax now!

I was looking at the Aggie Outdoor records and for pole vault it is only 13'10.5! Not sure if Heather Abadie is working a short approach tonight, but if not the record could be hers! Also Tyra's names are removed from the record books and it says Aggie Athlete LMAO, I'm dead!

I just don't get this short approach stuff. She pushed 14 all indoors. She's ready. Let's go full approach and try to do your best. I'm old so it was a lot different when I did it.

Nowadays people use it to "save the legs" cause apparently the extra strides will kill your season! Heck it persuaded one of our top girls to transfer lol
