That's the problem with the new age of racing. You call that move "racing". Larson blew the corner, completely jumped the curb, and that was while using Elliott as a wall. How far off would he have been if Elliott wasn't there?

Larson admitted that that was his only chance to pass him. Elliott dominated him all weekend, the least Larson can do is show him a little more respect. If it's someone fighting for a playoff spot or a rival team, sure I can "maybe" see the move. But a teammate? Never would have happened 20 years ago.

But I guess we should cater to the product NASCAR is trying to feed to the WWE fans: win and you're in, bogus cautions to set up last lap drama, etc. Young drivers are seeing their heroes pull those moves and it feeds down the lower ranks. Truck series is almost unwatchable these days. It's why multiple current Cup drivers have said there's no respect anymore.

These things usually come in waves. It'll get sorted out on the track.

And I'm not salty about a regular season race. We'll see what happens in the playoffs.

I think you're going a little far, especially with the teammate comment. You want this to turn into F1 with team directives and other crap that determines the outcomes of races?

Let's not pretend that even the best drivers didn't have "run out of talent" moments like that where they pushed the edge of what they and the car could do in the name of a win.

I absolutely agree with you on the trucks, it's a crap show. An entertaining crap show sometimes.

More drivers complain these days about the car. Denny whines momentum is gone because now you can just grab a gear. Yeah dude...adapt and survive. You didn't see the best golfers stick with balatta balls and persimmon woods when the rest of the world was moving to new and improved tech.

I think Larson was aggressive sending it in there, but he had every right to do that. Contact was minimal this time, but I don't see Chase cutting Larson any breaks going forward and it's going to lead to wreck between the two.

That was wild. All top 3 cars independently bite it at once. Not a fan of Daytona deciding the final spot. Too much out of the driver's control.

Are you kidding me? It's probably the single best decision NASCAR has made in recent memory moving this race to the end of the regular season. A true wild card, and if you are a championship caliber team you need to have your stuff locked in before this or start chewing nails

Also... they have GOT to run this complete today and wait this out.

I'd rather the crapshoot race happen with 1 or 2 more to go. Had a guy like Justin Haley made it in on rain you cannot tell me that's better for the sport to keep out the guy who's currently 5th in points.
