Ty Gibbs getting his first start today replacing Kurt Busch (Concussion Symptoms)
Betting Ross Chastain gains a lot of fans today if he runs right thru Gibbs bumper and shoves him into the wall.

Great response by Chastain there
The Nos. 11 and 18 cars have been disqualified following post-race inspection at @PoconoRaceway. @chaseelliott has been declared the winner of today’s race.

NASCAR on the 11 and 18 cars: the part was the front facia ... material somewhere it should not have been.

at this time, no additional penalties beyond the DQ but the cars are going back to R&D. Assuming there is an appeal, the appeal of a DQ is an expedited appeal and likely would be heard this week.

Bit of a surprise here: Joe Gibbs Racing isn’t going to appeal its double DQ. I figured they might roll the dice and see what the appeals panel said, but NASCAR says the deadline passed with no notice of an appeal filed.

Chase Elliott is officially the Pocono winner.
Scott Miller says NASCAR was “very surprised” at what they found when they peeled the vinyl off the JGR cars (which he said is standard procedure). There were extra layers of vinyl underneath which essentially modified that area of the lower nose, he said.

Sorry if you’re getting a bunch of these in your feed, but JGR just sent out a statement explaining its side of the Pocono double DQ. pic.twitter.com/USj8O6aiQu
