First time viewer, seems like a **** show
Usually not like this, track designer definitely made things too tight. Next week's race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course is much more representative of the series

Too narrow, too many design flaws. Just an awful, awful idea, especially when there's a decent oval 20 minutes away.

Pit exit location is not great either
Obviously this has been terrible, but I hope that it's something that can be fixed and they could return here. Don't know if a better track layout is possible, but I would like to see them try.
TV needs to go back to the corner with the water. Looked like it was ponding at the apex
This is year 1 of a 3 year contract so they'll be back 2 more times. My guess is they tweak the track and/or do some serious resurfacing. Sucks that this has been so rough because they got a huge crowd, and you only get one shot at a first impression.
Changing the restart line would help. Unless they can change the route or widen the track in some spots this just doesn't seem like it will work.

That was enjoyable under extended green conditions. Sucks for Herta, hope he's ok.
I think they need to do restarts from the bridge like they did on the opening lap, much more space for everyone to make their move before going into a more technical section

Honestly...I'm pretty sure Ganassi knows the rules. That was Jimmie's third wreck of the weekend and I feel like they did that to put the weekend out of their misery. Just felt intentional.

Different schedule this week, qualifying tonight at 6:00, race at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Both on NBCSN.
Rare mistake by Dixon but I guess he knew he was outside looking in and overdriving a bit.

I really enjoy this series but man NBC's coverage is so tough sometimes. Middle of the race and they go to a prerecorded interview with Jimmie Johnson who can barely finish a race. I've become spoiled by F1 race coverage.
It's the lack of information for me. That said, I love the purity of IndyCar racing and that helps overcome it.
I joined about 30 laps in. What happened to O'Ward to go from P1 to P4? Did he just get swamped at the start.

O'Ward just hasn't had the pace. Held the lead until first round of pit stops.
This restart will help Power a lot. Clears the traffic from in front of him, and last they showed he had way more push-to-pass than everyone else:

Power didn't put a wheel wrong all day that I saw anyway. Good drive. Grosjean did a good job of holding off Herta with no ptp.
