Former Aggie Rugby player here, now playing with some buddies in Houston. Our club, Arrows Rugby (est. 2016), was recently recognized as "Catholic" by Cardinal DiNardo, which makes us pretty unique. Full club announcement here: https://www.arrowsrugby.com/arrows-rugby-officially-recognized-as-catholic-by-cardinal-dinardo/. Bunch of great Aggie-heavy rugby clubs around the state and in Houston, of course!

In addition to the Ags, we also have a lot of Longhorns, and Tigers, and Cougars, etc. We're always looking for new players, supporters, sponsors, and fans. Demographically, majority of our guys are Catholic (and non-Catholic Christian), but a professed faith is NOT required to be full part of it. Great club for newbies to the game too! A little under half of our competitive players had never been exposed to Rugby before joining the Arrows - so, good company. We've got a Rugby 101 page to catch you up - https://www.arrowsrugby.com/club/rugby101/.

Re. COVID - we would normally start early October, but we're in wait-and-see mode until our local union (Texas Rugby Union) is able to confidently schedule our season. That said, we're still doing stuff! Check out the site, email Club [at] ArrowsRugby [dot] com, or just drop a note for any questions.

God bless, Ags.

Blake - where do y'all practice and have you started up a youth arm of the club? Wife and I are moving back to Houston in the near-ish future and I'd really like to continue coaching. Spoke with Matt A about y'all at the Scotland game.

Hey Nick, apologies for the way-delayed response. We train at the Knights of Columbus Hall (technically Northside Columbus Club, where Council 2917 resides) in Independence Heights.

Youth program is fixture numbero uno in our future-planning roadmap; directly connected to us developing a basic pitch (there at the KC Hall), where we can have a proper venue for it. We have dabbled with a H.S. select side here, youth clinic there, but have not given it a proper go. We certainly have the community to support the effort with a decent venue. Would love to have you and your family involved.

Shoot me a note, would love to talk more about it - president [at] arrowsrugby [dot] com.

Thanks, Nick.
