I think the pit entrance was pretty messed up and would have taken serious time to repair.

Don't know that for certain, but that is my guess.

2nd is bittersweet

I feel you, but after the dismal season Andretti has had overall, it was nice to see a podium sweep. It's hard to see Veach coming back in that ride next year, and I think the time has seriously come to tell Marco to do sports cars or help run the team. (It came a couple years ago, really, but at this point it's REALLY time). He already is a part owner of his 98 car, so it seems like that seed has been laid.

Edit: Also can't remember the last podium sweep by Americans or the last top 4 sweep by Americans.

Bad news: only 4 oval races next year.

Good news: 2 are a doubleheader at TMS!!!

Man, I really don't like that schedule, but they don't have a choice. Iowa is getting sold off and redeveloped, from what I have heard. Richmond backed out of their agreement because of covid.

Further than that, NASCAR seems to be doing whatever they can to hurt IndyCar with their schedule. Oh, Fontana had some good IndyCar races? Plow it under and redesign it. Oh, Road America is a staple for the series? Let's go there July 4th weekend.

Excluding cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals, there's just not a whole lot of options for IndyCar.

They dropped the wrong driver if you ask me. Who am I kidding, Marco will have that seat as long as he wants it.

Yeah, Marco is trash, but his name will always bring in the money

Marco also has a stake in ownership of his car now, which makes it a bit more difficult to get him out. Michael probably needs to have a long chat with him, but he's been performing pretty decent this weekend.

Veach hadn't been performing very well either, and was in danger of missing the Leader's Circle money for the top 22 teams. I do think the plan is to have Hinch in the car next year with Gainbridge and Genesys as alternating sponsors.

Another podium for Rossi but just can't get that win... I thought he was going to catch Power but then after Herta passed him he dropped like a rock. Hopefully them figuring out the aeroscreen translates over into next season.

I can't root for that team I call SPAM. The way they did Hinchcliffe and now Askew was completely unprofessional. Absolutely gutless organization.

Askew cleared to run St. Pete and McLaughlin is stateside to run St. Pete, as well.

Call me provincial but I am not crazy about JJ coming to open wheel.
Also, I didn't realize the points race was so close. If Dixon dnf's or finishes way down the door is open for Newgarden. Will be an interesting race tomorrow.

And Rossi throws it away.
