You all may disagree but I dont (felt this way even before the fight) see the best pound for pound in Loma.

Certainly not after tonight's performance.

Tonight should not effect the puns for pound. They are not the same weight.

I understand where you are coming from but the 3 belts he had says they are the same weight, It will affect the pound for pound ranking, but again I understand your point. I just don't see him as the best pound for pound.

I think Inoue or Crawford right now for me.

I see rematch and Loma better let it fly early, of course maybe he'd be on his back if he did that
There was no re-match clause. If I were Teofimi, I'd move on. I'm so relieved that the Lomachenko hype train has finally been de-railed.

I've watched Crawford's last 4 or 5 fights and I just don't see it. He's good, no doubt. But the best in the world? He hasn't fought a top fighter yet. I'll reserve judgement until he beats Spence or Porter or someone of that ilk.

Crawford is still getting credit for being undisputed at 140 (and 140 when he was there is nowhere near as deep as it is right now). He's 33 and needs some of those PBC guys to cross the street before he starts declining.

I'm not a Canelo fan (nothing against him, I just don't particularly enjoy watching his style), but don't see how he can't be #1 P4P now. The guy fights top competition and has for years.

Agreed.

I will say, despite the poor showing Loma had on Saturday, When he's at peak performance, I've never seen a fighter like him in my life. The speed and quickness are inhuman.

Definitely asking for it at 135, though. Just too big for him.

Did you not see Sugar Ray Leonard/Robinson, Roy Jones, Meldrick Taylor or Manny Pacquiao? Lomachenko can't hold a candle to any of those guys in terms of speed and quickness.

I rewatched the fight last night, and scored it a draw again. I thought almost all of the rounds were pretty clear cut. I can't say that I see any way Loma won, but it's hard to see it more than 115-113 for Lopez and anything wider than 116-112 is asinine.

Davis was running into trouble in this fight. But my gosh, was that a punch.

A great knockout for sure, but I don't see how it is more impressive than Povetkin's vs Whyte, or Zepeda vs Baranchyk.

The Davis-LSC fight was more meaningful. Plus the KO went viral, its been viewed well over 20M times.

You're right that it was a more meaningful fight and it's a great point that I hadn't considered, but social media views shouldn't mean anything. Is Ryan Garcia the best lightweight because he has the most Instagram followers?

Hahaha I never said anything about the number of viewers being the reason why Davis is good. I was just saying that the Davis-LSC knockout was more important to the boxing landscape than the two you mentioned. The fight was basically even at the time of the knockout. It could have gone either way. Also, nobody outside of the UK or Russia really cared about a 40 year old Povetkin knocking out a chinny fringe contender Dillian Whyte. Nobody outside of hardcores watched Zepeda-Baranchyk. Davis-LSC was a PPV fight that was hyped on ESPN and Showtime for weeks. It was a mainstream event.

I didn't say that you thought Tank was good because of internet followers. It was an analogy that views/followers has nothing to do with how good something is.

You called Whyte a fringe contender? He was a top 4 or 5 heavyweight in all the reputable rankings and still is for the most part (not that I think he would stand a chance against either of belt holders), but he wasn't "fringe".

Also, almost twice as many people watched the Zepeda-Baranchyk fight than the Leo-Tank fight. Yes, I realize one was on PPV (it wasn't hyped on ESPN. Why the hell would they be hyping a fight that went up against Inoue-Moloney fight in ESPN+). Do you think people that only saw Tank's knockout on social media are suddenly going to plunk down $85 for his next fight? Maybe they'll illegally steal the stream, but that doesn't do anything for the sport.

Yet another example of boxing being rigged and unable to get out of its own way last night. And epic rant by Teddy Atlas afterward

And even when they are running exhibition games they can't get away from BS scoring.

Tyson absolutely dominated the fight and they call it a draw... I mean, I get it, it's for charity. But if I'm DraftKings and I'm putting my sponsorship on that, doesn't that make your customers less likely to wager in the future?

I'm really looking forward to the Estrada vs Choclatito rematch tonight. I'll be pulling for Gonzalez, but think Estrada will win. At least we know there will punches in bunches.

I loved the Hagler, Hearns, Leonard & Duran fights/era.
