Good win for Aggie Lacrosse today as they dropped a not very good Texas Tech team 15-5. This leaves the Aggies 3-2-0 on the season and 2-2-0 in conference and 1-1-0 in division.

Big Notes from the game today are:
Both goalies played today each one taking a half. Ryan Fennell (#26) came back with a huge performance in the first half today. He was an absolute stonewall in the cage and his clearing was absolutely spot on. He was dropping dimes downfield and was getting great, quick, and decisive decisions. He improved on ordering his defense around and the defense was outstanding in the first half.

Marco Roberston (#8) played goalie for the second half and had an up and down day. He made some good saves that kept Tech down and out but was really struggling to find a good clear outlet. He doesn't quite have the spot-on accuracy that Fennel shows and sometimes hesitates to take a good pass downfield. Overall it was a good day for the Aggie goalkeeper duo.

Auggie Buerkle had a great day really exploding late after not playing hardly at all early on. He seemed to be unstoppable from behind the cage and just kept drilling in goals (3 on the day). He leads the conference in points now and seems to be a great contender for a post season award at this rate.

Drew Johnson (#4) sophomore attackman/midfielder had a terrific day. He was on point as a wing on the faceoff team, a scorer on the offensive end, and played some good defense as well. He has elite speed and the team plays better when he is on the field. He needs minutes.

GW Bodden (#44) had a good day as well contributing multiple goals and assists. He has real potential to be a special player in the days to come. He also scored my vote for goal of the year as he put a beautiful underhand shot into the top left corner of the cage from a very shallow angle whilst being flipped upside down by three Tech defenders. No big deal.

Sophomore defender Thomas Wojtowecz (#12) had a great day forcing three turnovers. He was and has been a key piece of this Aggie defense. He plays great fundamentals and rarely gets beat 1 on 1.

Freshman defender Phillip Schwartz (#81) scored a goal after grabbing a ground ball and taking it all the way down the field thru about five Tech defenders. It was a symphony of jukes, spins, and a great finish!

And Finally

The faceoff teams were totally dominate today. Levi Jobe (#7) didn't play today but Drew Miller (#19) and Alex Tartaglia (#20) did a tremendous job. The Aggies were as good as you can be on faceoffs today and that's all there is to say. A perfect performance.
