I'm tired of playing them in their sports on their terms. Hey Andrew Wiggins get good at basketball, so Lebron can poop in the medal round in Brazil.

Terrible calls against the US and a nice flop by that Canadian girl. Cost our women the game.

Choke job by both the US women at the end of regulation, and then by the refs in overtime.

Let me state up front that the refs aren't why the US lost, not even close, but it was a shame that they took over in OT.

The first penalty in OT against Canada was legit, I guess. There's no checking in women's hockey, and that was clearly a check. I might have let it go in OT, though. The slash call 5 seconds later on the US was a blatent attempt to even it back up, so no one had an advantage in overtime.

Then, I guess they wanted to even out the horrible calls, so they don't call for a penalty shot on what is pretty much the textbook definition of what a penalty shot should be called for.

So, now thanks to one total BS call, and one right-yet really wrong-call, Canada ends up with a power play, that they actually get to play out.

Canada won the game and deserved it, I just hated seeing it end like that.

[edit] in my anger, I forgot that OT was 4-on-4, and the Canada powerplay was 4-on-3. One of the announcers said 5-on-3 and that threw me off. Everything else stands, though.

Wrong. Up 2 with 3:30 to play ... and the USA chokes its guts. The players will have to live with it the rest of their lives. It's the penalty for showing your ass on the world stage.

Need to capitalize on these PP

Need to generate more offense 5-on-5. Canada is dominating right now. Jonathan Quick is keeping us in it, need to reward him by getting some goals.

It was a great game. Win the medal tomorrow. In two days, I can go back to not even realizing that hockey exists until 2018.

That game wasn't as close as the score indicated. It probably should have been 4 or 5-0. Quick played outstanding. Canada thoroughly dominated pretty much the whole game. Price was solid, but only had to make a handful of tough saves. We pumped about 15 shots right into his midsection.

The better team won. USA hockey rivals speedskating team for gold medal of disappointment.
