Benn has really turned me off this season. First the contract hold out, then the mediocre season (by his standards), and then no-showing repeatedly in crucial games. Not something you want to see from the "future face of the franchise."

Seeing as how our draft pick won't be great I guess the only think to look forward to now is the new jerseys.

Just got back from the game. What a terrible way to finish, and with way too many obnoxious Red Wing fans.

As far as Joe is concerned, he was one of my all time favorite players, he rebuilt a terrible farm system, and never had a full shot at being a GM, BUT he failed miserably at his "pro-level" deals. I'm as nostalgic as the next guy, but it's past time to quit bringing in guys with previous ties to the organization.

By all accounts, we're getting a premiere GM who has turned down numerous other teams. This shows we have an owner who's serious about winning. Now, if we can just get the right coach in here, this franchise might finally turn the corner. Quite frankly, it's long overdue.

That can be a two-edged sword.

On one hand it keeps the team from being stuck in the past. On the other hand the handful of Dallas Stars hockey fans (you could fit all of them in a middle-school gym) now have even less reason to support the team.

But for Gagliardi that's fine since his goal is to move the team to Seattle once the new arena is ready.

When I go to games (and I go to 2-3 a year) I see at least 40% of the fans wearing THE OTHER TEAM'S JERSEYS!

I 110% agree that the uni worn by Modano below is the best ever. I wish they had kept those as it was unique, yet modern enough to stand the test of time ala Yankees, Cowboys, Packers, Bruins, NY Rangers, etc.

These new uniforms, although not horrible, look like Houston Aeros hand me downs!

Dan Bylsma as a coaching possibility? NHL postgame said he could/should be fired. He would be another great option, although I don't like how his teams have completely collapsed in the playoffs since 2009.
