Only thing I could think of was that it was a dual meet with UH and when the Big 12 says "all meets" they mean all meets involving only Big 12 competition.

Camille broke Kristen Heiss' Big XII "Meet Record" but not the school or overall Big XII record. The commentators aren't being very clear about this, but Kristen's best time was from the November Invite at U of H, making it an overall Big XII Record and Texas A&M Record but NOT a Big XII meet record. Is that a little clearer?

The FSN commentators were terrible. Josh Davis was a total homer, obviously hadn't read the pronunciation of any of the swimmers' names, and his partner sounded as though he'd never been to a swim meet before. It's safe to ignore anything that they were saying.

IM Aggie was correct. She set that time early in the year, and IIRC stood as the top time in the country for most of the season.

IMAggie is correct. Heiss owns the overall record still. I can confirm that neither Adams or Henry are shaved or fully tapered so will it last the next month? Only time will tell.

You are on the money with the FOX announcers. You'd be shocked how little they know about the landscape of this meet. They should pay Julia Wilkinson to come down and do it instead. She'd be just as good a speaker and actually know what the hell is going on. Josh should be put out to pasture for this meet. His grip on it (outside of the Texas men's team) was lost long ago.

The freshman class is already rivaling the class of '09. They have been simply outstanding: Miller, Henry, Adams, Dittmer, Ibanez, and Larson have been awesome and they are all locks for NCAA's. Others locked in for NC's: Sommer, Chernoff, Simpson, Kinder, McLaine, Conner, Medrano, L. King. I'll put $100 on Potvin making it too. Thats FIFTEEN girls almost guaranteed to make NC's with another day of Big 12's to go. (and Patrick, McElhaney and one or two possible sprint free girls out of action that all would have had a chance too). Freaking. Wow.

Can't say enough about that 400 IM from Conner tonight. You sort of expect that of Adams and Henry to be in there being able to take down the Leah Gingrich's of the world, but to see Conner not only beat her but go under what was the school record in the 400 IM at the beginning of the year was just amazing. If we can get one or two more 'surprise' swims like that, then I really like our chances on Saturday.

Big props to that 400 medley relay too. I thought our 200 medley was our strongest relay. Boy was I wrong. That was one incredible effort by those four ladies.

I don't think the meet will be decided until the 200 fly is over. I see shades of 931-930 written all over this. We just need every single one of those girls on the scoring team to step and and make the most of their last day.

We have the exact same number of swims as Texas tomorrow however they have 4 divers to our 2. We have to outperform them to win this meet. We will need a six point lead heading into the relay as unfortunately IMO we don't have firepower to hang with their freestyle sprinters in that 400 free relay this year.

Should be an awesome finish. Prelims haven't meant a whole lot so far, but with about equal numbers of A-finalists, it will surely be awesome.

yes. not looking good for the ladies at this point. they need something special to happen somewhere.

Finally saw that the men are way behind and ladies have a sizeable gap as well.

Despite Josh Davis' best efforts, the "Aggie girls" go 1-2 in the 1650, Sacco third, A&M also 4th and 6th.

How does Josh Davis keep getting work as a broadcaster? This is painful!!

16 point lead with only the relay to go!

Girls got the lead back by 16 with a sweep of the top 3 in 200 Fly. With 16 points being the difference between 1st and 2nd in the relay, and the strong sip sprinters, there's a good chance of a tie.

Edit - looks like the platform divers may have a say in this.

Although the Ag men swam well in that relay, it was a gift by the sips since Feigen wasn't on it.

Yeah Texas gift wrapped the mile too since Gingrich didn't swim it, oh and the 100 back since Natalie coughlin didn't do it. Plus if you think about it they won the BCS title game except Colt McCoy didn't play.

Didn't mean to offend anyone. Our guys know Feigen wasn't on that relay so they probably know exactly what the relay win meant. The sips would have been 2 seconds faster with him on it.

Our women had an outstanding meet. As LOB pointed out so well our freshmen girls were unbelievable. Tu just a bit stronger in sprint freestyle.

No need to jump on Spice for what he said, as he's probably right. Feigen swam a "B" 800 free relay. It was their decision to play it that way, though, so still a big win for us! Even if Feigen had been on the relay, the time was outstanding, and it was great to see Trsokott show up and fight of Hill like that at the end.

Apparently, Feigen thought he was swimming the relay too. Earlier in the session, Josh Davis asked him if he was going to get under 42 on the relay, and he said that yeah, he was going to get well under.

The feed was great by Fox News. That is much appreciated. I'd like to see them alternate though and give an Aggie alum the chance to announce it next season...

I agree the video feed was great, and it's wonderful for those of us who can't make it to the meet in person. I am very grateful that they broadcast the meet at all. As Blastoff said, I wouldn't mind a more coherent and impartial broadcaster, but beggars can't be choosers.

I think it is funny how bent out of shape some people get here. If this was football and the Aggies scored three touchdowns on the 4th quarter against backups but still lost the game do you guys still call scoreboard?

Swam4UT so why didn't Eddie keep Feigen on the relay? If he needed the relay win to win the meet, wouldn't he have put his fastest 100 free guy on the last relay of the meet?

As everyone including Spice said the Ags swam great. And had a great meet overall.

Are the swimmers so fragile they can't read this on Texags without a breakdown? I don't think they are.
