I see that Camille Adams is indeed a very fast swimmer - she was recently on the National Junior Team. And she swims for Cy-Fair ("Fleet". The interesting thing is that she can't be found in the USA Swimming database except in the top times rankings. Her first name is spelled two ways and USA-S doesn't show her with either spelling.

She also didn't race in high school - at least last year.

Spicewood - She goes by Cammile (yes, two m's). Her given name is Natalie.

It's in there. Where do you think I found the times?

I'd swear I searched using both spellings of Cammile and didn't find her. But now I find her. I found the 2m spelling on Cyfair's site.

It is interesting she has NO SCY times in 2009 - just LCM.

I guess I need more coffee.

Interesting that her SCY time performances rank higher in the points system than her LCM, yet her best LCM performances all occurred this year...Who's to know what those SCY times would look like had she swam SCY this year...Seems like it bodes well.

Man this conversation could be confusing for anyone who wasn't deep in the swimming community like we are.

So her sister is verballed here as well? What are here numbers like?

LOB - it is amazing that she didn't record a single SCY time this year. There are so few LCM meets because of the short season. I'm just surprised she didn't race Sectionals, a US Open, or Grand Prix meet in SCY.

The times you listed were swum in 2008 so I assume she would be faster now.

Her distance free times are the best. Her 500 free would have won 5A last year by a lot. Her IM time is very good but it takes 2:00 or so to win 5A. Her 500 free time would actually be the 5A record and not far from Janet Evans 4:37 national high school record.

While it's always great to have distance swimmers, as the boys have demonstrated, distance swimmers are not the way to build a top program. It's unfortunate that there's not more emphasis on these events, but the fact is that nobody wants to watch a 4x1650 relay, or even a 4x200 medley relay.

It almost seems as though all events that are not included in relays should be worth more points. That's obviously never going to happen (I don't think), because it would destroy what little parity there is in college swimming, where a team like the A&M Men with relatively few swimmers at NCAA's, can still flirt with the top 10 on the strength of a good relay or 2.

But anyways, the point is that a Camille Adams that swims the 500/1650/200 fly is not quite going to make up for a Heiss or Wilkinson, who can swim the 50, 100, 200, MAYBE 500, 100 back, etc that will also score big points on relays.

Wowww dannngg. This is going to be a good class. Maybe the result of a lot of freed up scholarship money after the Heiss/Wilkinson/Atkinson group leaves? Looks like in the course of a few weeks breaststroke has gone from our biggest future weakness to our biggest (or close to it) strength.

Maybe Coach Bultman is building the team to win the Big XII Relays. We better hope the highschool class of '14 is loaded with breaststrokers, because there's a chance we won't be recruiting any between now and then!

Not true...lol:

Breaststroke commit #4: 1:03 SCY/2:34 LCM
also has a 2:05/4:18 IM

Pretty safe to say they are done with breaststrokers by now. At least I would hope so.
