I've never been to a track camp, but I've been to other high profile coaches' camps in other sports. It's a great experience, if for nothing else than getting exposure to a whole week around people with amazing work ethic (the coaches, college athletes, and peers). The only problem you'll run in to is that they may learn some stuff that their local coach won't know, and this can cause a little friction from time to time. Make sure you have good communication on this.
For example, I learned the pick-and-roll from Ray Meyer (nickle for anyone who's old enough to know who that is without looking it up). He taught the pick and roll differently than most of the youth basketball coaches I had. This became a little bit of an issue at times.
But all-in-all, it was a great experience. So if you can afford it, go for it!
