I'd have to say the women's 4x100 was the most dominating performance of any event that I saw in the meet. They crushed a 20year old collegiate record. I've never seen a smoother relay.

Our girls also represented well in interviews,etc.

Can't argue with that at all. The Gold Medal time in the 2008 Olympics was 42.31. The Silver medal time was 42.54. The Aggie women ran a 42.36. They ran a time that would have won the Silver and challenged for the Gold. That is an absolutly amazing performance by the women.

When you review the race it's amazing how little the baton slows down at the passes. Just perfect timing, concentration and coaching.

If you wanted to give any relay team a tape of "This is how it's done", this would be the race.The handoffs were basically perfect across the board.

Was definitely the smoothest relay race I've ever seen.

Tough break that we can't enter 2 4x1 relays next year at NCs

This almost never happened. In the 2nd heat of the women's 4x1 our team came very close to blowing it. At the 2nd exchange, our freshman runner left early, realizing she might be out of the zone, stopped. The incoming runner handed her the baton at the limit line of the zone. The incoming runner beat the #3 out of the zone and this lead to 3 protest being filed by our next closest competitors in the overall team score. The official at the zone exit had a no call. The only replay we had on Wednesday night was the in stadium that fed the jumbertron. CBS did not start it's set-up until Friday. The ruling had to be inclusive ... and it wasn't. The super sloppy exchange cost us almost two full seconds in the prelim's. When I saw the initaial handoff without the replay, I said "here we go again."

Both T&F teams should be VERY GOOD! Should be the favorites to win another couple NCs.

Being a former sprint relay guy myself, I'd love to see a video of it.

Yes, and Coach Henry proved to be a very personable guy. He had a six or seven minute video showing the highlights of the NCAAs. When the video showed how far out in front our women's 4X relay, you could hear the lunch crowd say a collective "WOW".
