Bronson seems to have settled in after a rough start yesterday. Hopefully he can drop a birdie or two in there these last few holes and finish off the day strong.

I am watching it on TV. It looks beautiful there today, and the course is in amazingly good shape.
Dammit, I'd much rather be home drinking some beers and watching golf than sitting here at work. Maybe I can claim I got food poisoning and not come back from lunch. 
BB is +4 with 2 holes left.

Not a bad day today for BB..he had all pars except for one where he made bogey. If he could play 2 or 3 under tomorrow he could be seeing his name Saturday and Sunday still playing
Can he get a mulligan on #10? I mean, come on, it was a driving rain storm yesterday when he started. Cut a guy some slack.

Parr is in at +4 also.
If he shoots even tomorrow he will likely make the cut. I am guessing the cut will be in the 5 over range.
I think the cut will be higher than +5. 2 74s may still have you playing the weekend,

On second thought, the course does appear to be playing quite a bit easier for the "afternoon" group. Maybe the cut will be in the +5-6 range.
You've still got the 10 stroke rule. If you're within 10 shots of the leader, you make the cut. For +5 to be the cut, someone would have to shot -5. I don't think that will happen.

I really didn't think anyone would get there either. But a few guys seem to be making a run at 4 or 5 under.

morning group doesn't even get to play again today. they don't get to start their 2nd round until tomorrow, when it's going to be a monsoon again. sucks for those guys.
According to weather.com, rain is scheduled for 9am tomorrow and in the forecast for days. It could be a real mess

Whasty, I would normally agree with you. But the fact that he gets to go right back out in a few hours should help his chances.

I'm still sticking with my first statement. The USGA can't be too happy with a 64. I bet they'll put all the pins on hills tomorrow 
Didn't realize they were starting the 2nd round today. That is a big advantage to the pm tee times. I guess they have to with all the rain forecast for tomorrow
Better remember this afternoon.....I doubt you will ever see another US Open play this easily. Its raining birds!
Wow, a few more 64s, so much for the 10 shot rule. Looks like Ricky Barnes will finish at -8. Got to be in the top 60 now and the rain is coming
Barnes 132...lowest 36 hole total in US Open History. As the rain has fallen he had the perfect draw....and looks like Burgoon got the worst draw possible.
It's starting to look like the winner this year will be a "no name" 1st time major winner. I hope there is alittle drama to make it interesting. If some "no name" guy runs off with it in the 3rd round it will become a snoozer quickly.

Our boys are falling apart out there in the rain.
They got the bad luck of the draw to be in the first group thursday.
It is sad they will not make the cut which is predicted at +3.

They just showed all the amateur scores. Some guy shot a 65 today, and is at -2 overall! Bronson was behind them all at +8 through 12, I think. Maybe he can string a few birdies together on this last few holes because the commentators are still talking about the cut probably being around +4.
Depending on your draw this is really 2 different golf courses - the leaders have had nice soft easy greens for the ball to stick on - those with the later draw are seeing what this course is supposed to play like. I think you'll see it start to even out if they get this 3rd round in today.

Bad luck for the Ags.
In the bonus coverage yesterday prior to round 3, they showed him shooting into the 18th green (I believe) and commented on his shot which won the NCAA title for the Aggies. They said he was asked to donate his wedge to the course for display and he did - it is displayed next to a wedge donated by Bob Tway who won the 1986 PGA at Inverness by holing a sand shot on 18.
