Bobby Gates won the qualifier today with a 64. He'll be in the field, too.

A little motherly pride there eh? Martin shot -1 today. If he makes the cut Miles and I plan to be there on Sunday if not Saturday as well. Gotta represent that Dville golf!

Piller: E today (F), -1 for tour.
Gates: -6 today (F), -3 for tour.
Loving: -3 today (F), -1 for tour.
Palmer: +1 today (F), E for tour.

I'll try to update these as the day progresses.

Palmer could have gone low, but a disasterous Triple Bogey on 17 cost him, then he had a good look at birdie on 18 and missed.

Loving made a 4 footer for par on 18 to hang on to -1.

Gates is -5 through 15 on the day, -2 for the tournament.

Piller is + 1 through 14, E for the tournament.

Cut looks like it's gonna fall around -1, so Piller might need to make a birdie to play the weekend.

He ended up firing a 6 under today and is at 7 under for tourney and tied for 21st but is gonna be tough to catch the top as Johnson fired a 10 under and is at 15 under for weekend

I followed Martin for most of the round Sunday. He wears his Aggie pride proudly, is very friendly with the crowd and has a very bright future.

PGAMOM, I looked at Martin's website. He certainly appears to be a great young man. I am sure yall are very proud of him. I visited with 2 of Martin's A&M friends who were following him today. They certainly think highly of him. I look forward to following his career.
