By looking at the medals won by the U.S. and China. If we ever go to war, China better never come near the water and we better never have to fight them where lifting things comes into play.

What Ive learned from watching the Olympics so far.

Don't worry, nothing in war involves lifting things.
Notice that the Chinese seem to do very well when the sport is judged and it is an advantage to be small, light, and perhaps underage?
as long as we dont get into a battle on a soft-springy floor or high hanging bars i think we'll be safe.
epic...they might want to stay away from our shooters and fencing team too...
Maybe we should enslave our athletes from infancy on. That seems to be good for some gold.
Also flagrantly violating age rules.

i'm willing to bet their weightlifting team is doping.
I like how their Divers look like women but their swimmers do not. Also the Divers look their ages, but the gymnist look 10 years younger? They must have some excelerated post puberty program that speeds up the aging process. Things that make you go Hum????
I hope and pray too that our wars with them never involve the badminton or table-tennis courts.
Btw, how exactly is it an advantage to have underaged competitors? I can see why its not a good idea to have really young athletes, but can't figure out what advantage it would give a team.

Its is a huge advantage in gymnastics, it is purely physics. A smaller lighter frame can rotate much quicker and easier.
What I've learned... I enjoy seeing the athletes from the not-so-high profile sports totally committed to their sport (often times for years) seeing their reactions win or lose - I'm sure many of these folks are every day Joe's / JoAnn's, but are world-class in their chosen field... I love it.
