Wind will really be an issue. Because of the altitude the balls really fly here. And there are soooo many elevated greens. The good news is the course plays much shorter than the yardage appears. Big hitters will get on almost all the par 5's in 2. NM is known to triple cut the greens but they obviously haven't' done that yet. It's not an easy course to walk so some players might get a little tired as the week moves on.
Whatever! The Aggies are off to a GREAT start! WHOOP!

Course must be playing hard today. The scores are misleading considering all the leaders are just teeing off.

Not really since Jeanne is gone but DD is still in CS so she does. We've known Miranda since her high school days. She usually has one great round per tournament. Lets hope it's today!

I agree. Kinda weird to suspend play for high winds unless there's a safety concern somehow.

And if the ball won't sit still on the green it's kinda hard to putt but that's the breaks.

If the ball won't stay at rest on the green, then play has to be suspended.

The wind must be brutal! If it's your team (and it is) out there playing in those conditions you're glad they stopped play! I hate when the field is so large that they have 2 waves. Half the field can have perfect conditions and the other half can have wind and rain. It seems to happen every year. Interesting that they stopped play tho.

They don't stop play for high winds at The Open. I realize this isn't The Open or even the Futures Tour, but stopping for high winds is BS. I realize it is a break for us, but the wind was blowing hard earlier. They're something else that blows today, the baseball team. Losing 4-1 to OU going to the bottom of the 9th.

According to weather.com...play might be done today! They might be able to get a few in around 7:00-8:00, but why? I think we might be done for the day!

If I am Duke, USC, UCLA, and others, I am ticked!

I wonder if there is some NCAA rule for this since there are two starting times!
