What happened to the archery team or club that we used to have?

I seem to remember that we had archers from TAMU. I guess it was never a varsity sport but I am sure I used to read about it on TexAgs.com. Did BB kill it or is it under the radar?

Anyone?

It was a varsity sport, but Byrne axed it because its results didn't count towards the Sears Cup, which is fair since at the time only 3 schools had it as a varsity sport.

It is still a club sport.

The University expected that it would eventually become an NCAA-sanctioned sport, but now it looks like that won't happen. When A&M ended athletic department sponsorship of the team, they honored existing team members' scholarships. (to the best of my knowledge)

I knew a girl on the team. One day she showed me an arrow she had shot that day through the shaft of another arrow. She was ticked b/c she had ruined 2 nice graphite arrows.

There has been mention of an Aggie women's bowling team. But Title IX will preclude a men's bowling team, as well as men's volleyball and soccer. Quotas, you know --
