The only coach in program history, G Guerrieri is one of the winningest coaches in Division I soccer with 394 career victories. In 2014, the four-time conference coach of the year led the Aggies to their best season in school history. In addition to winning both the SEC regular season and Tournament titles, A&M reached the Women's College Cup for the first time. With Guerrieri at the helm, the Aggies have won nine regular season conference championships, seven conference tournament titles and reached the NCAA Tournament each of the last 20 seasons. After years of success in the Big 12, his program had no trouble transitioning to the SEC, winning three titles in three seasons. Also, Guerrieri has been instrumental in creating one of the best atmospheres in college soccer. A&M's Ellis Field has led the nation in attendance on four separate occasions.
Former Texas A&M standout and 10-year NWSL veteran Alyssa Mautz joined the Texas A&M coaching staff in 2022.
Entering the 2022 campaign, she ranked 18th on the NWSL list for career matches played. Her 11-year professional career included one season with Sky Blue FC of Women's Professional Soccer followed by the 10-year stint with Chicago Red Stars. She logged 142 caps with Red Stars, including 85 starts. Her career numbers included 17 goals and eight assists.
Mautz was a star for the Aggies from 2008-10 after transferring from Saint Louis University. She played 67 matches for the Maroon & White, logging 52 points on 21 goals and 10 assists. Mautz earned All-Big 12 Second Team as a junior followed by All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 All-Tournament Team recognition as a senior.
Seth Taylor enters his second season on the Texas A&M soccer coaching staff as the Aggies head into the 2024 campaign.
Hired by G Guerrieri on July 1, 2023, the Aggies took a step back to SEC prominence in Taylor’s first season on the staff. The Maroon & White finished with 10 wins and advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinal round and NCAA Championship second round, edged out of both events in highly competitive one-goal defeats. He mentored a youthful group which boasted sophomore Carolyn Calzada earning All-SEC First Team with junior Mia Pante named to the All-SEC Second Team as well as Adysen Armenta and Margo Matula named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Tim Strader joined the soccer program in December 2024 and serves as an assistant coach for the Aggies. He comes to Texas A&M after a stint as assistant at Cal Baptist since 2018.
Cal Baptist registered a 70-63-22 (.633) record during Strader’s seven years on staff, including 36-20-11 (.619) in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play. He mentored 28 conference award winners at CBU, including three All-WAC selections in 2024. The Lancers also produced 11 United Soccer Coaches All-Region performers during his tenure.
In 2024, CBU won its first WAC Tournament title, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Lancers pushed No. 9 UCLA to double overtime in the first round.
