The Ags have signed a great number of kids this year, both men and women. WISH THEM ALL THE BEST! But my question is how long are these kids carried on the roster before the put up "acceptable numbers?" If the team has been significantly downsized what do you do with good athletes who may be just "good", but not great? Are they given the entire year, or were they signed with the idea that they had to meet a certain standard?

I'd imagine they are fine until someone else better comes along to take their spot. Hopefully this slimming down of the roster improves the quality of the roster, not to mention the results. The coaches will have less people to worry about so hopefully a lot more quality coaching of who is left.

I appoligize for not paying too much attention lately, but I always assumed that whatever talent we lost last year we would get back this year due to not having / getting a new indoor facility. Is that not really much of a factor?

Asinga just won the South American Championship 100m final in 9.89 (0.8).
He also broke the championship record in both semi-final where he cocked 10.03 and then again in the final. Championship record was 10.06

Not sure why they didn't mention Wood came from Ohio State but I hope she can make the same jump Jermaisha Arnold did! Glad to have her along! We still need more help in the 4x400 pool!

This year I'm feeling will be full of unknowns and surprises, and not all for the good…I think we will end up loosing some of the momentum we gained last year and the season may be a wash..good but no progress…but that is the business side of collegiate track..

Aggies got a class of 2025 commit in Mackenzie Collins who's a Aggie Volleyball and Track commit! She has a best of 54.67 in the 400 AS A SOPHOMORE! Also runs on Shadow Creek's top 4x400 and 4x200 relays! They won state in the 4x400!

Question about that, would either volleyball or track get a free scholarship out of this? I'm thinking in terms of how football guys running track don't take anything away from track's scholarship allotment.

Yeah I would assume it counts towards volleyball since it's a head count sport like football! Which means the athlete has to get a full scholarship! I like track or baseball where the scholarships can be split up! But hey it helps our track numbers

Aggies pick up Timara Chapman from NC State a national qualifier in the Heptathlon! She placed 16th at nationals and has a great PR that gives me reason to believe under Sategna that she could score at nationals next year! Along with Joniar Thomas and Rylee Lydon we will have a strong multi group as well as our guy multis!

Ags also pick up a 13'6 pole vaulter Riley Floerke from SFA! She seems to have struggled last season but was with Baylor 2 years ago! Hopefully under Coach Joe Sarra she can get back to her old form or even improve!
