How long do you want to ignore this user?
Another week another GTKYN.

You know the drill:

How old were you when you first discovered your passion for vehicles?

Would you ever lower a truck?

What's your preferred jam while hoonage ensues?

What's your typical Whataburger order?

How do you like your steak cooked?

If you were to build a sleeper with a typical budget, what vehicle would you use and what power plant would you use?

What state would you reside in if you weren't able to live in Texas?

Most f'ed up car/driving story of your life?

Favorite/least favorite beer?

Drink of choice?

What do you want your next vehicle to be?

How many JCI chili cheese dogs can you eat in one sitting?

Which car do you want to shove off a cliff?

In your opinion, what is the absolute worst modification that can be done to a vehicle?

3 favorite car related activities?

Preferred city for getting crunk?

Origin of user name?

Current hometown?

Original hometown?

Occupation?

Without considering cost, if you could give your kids any vehicle when they turn 16, what would you start them in?

How old were you when you first discovered your passion for vehicles?

My parents bought an 89 Toyota Supra Turbo in 89. It was white with maroon leather interior and the targa top. My Dad was working as a service writer for Town North Mazda & Porsche at the time and had one of the Techs who loved rotary engines fab up a 3" straight exhaust for the car. I remember being 5 years old in the back seat cruising down roads that eventually became George Bush in Garland with the targa top off, blasting music as my parents thought it was "cool" to cruise around town. I loved to hear the motor rev, and it started it all.

Would you ever lower a truck?

Hell ya! Has to be the right truck though. A slammed Dually can look real right in my mind.

What's your preferred jam while hoonage ensues?

Nah but seriously I like a ton of music and if I am out running late at night it can be anything from Metallica and Godsmack to Stevie Ray Vaughn and Reckless Kelly

What's your typical Whataburger order?

#1 No onions and a coke. Or if I am on a health kick a whataburger on a wheat bun, mustard and pickles only with a large unsweet tea.

How do you like your steak cooked?

What kinda question is this? Medium Rare. Preferably the bone in "cowboy" ribeye from Nick and Sam's here in Dallas.

If you were to build a sleeper with a typical budget, what vehicle would you use and what power plant would you use?

FD RX-7 with a built LS7 and a 150 shot.

What state would you reside in if you weren't able to live in Texas?

Colorado all day everyday. Preferably in Pagosa Springs, Telluride or Ouray. I am a sucker for southwest colorado. I enjoy their style of life and the mountains provide everything for me from switchback passes to offroading, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and rafting. My in laws have a place up in Pagosa Springs and I would spend every day of every summer there if I could. Throw back pic from 07 after I graduated:

Most f'ed up car/driving story of your life?

I was driving back from College Station to Athens the summer after freshman year and I was getting onto I-45 in Madisonville. Right after I entered I-45 I decided to move over into the left lane, I put on my signal, checked my mirrors and my blind spot and moved over after noticing a car about two car lengths back. I changed lanes and about 4-5 seconds later I hear a squeal of tires from behind me. I look into my rear view mirror and see the person who had been two car lengths back swerve to the left, then jerk the card hard back to the right, go off the road to the right and flip the car! I freaked the hell out, and got back in the right lane when I could, pulled onto the shoulder, drive through the grass to the feeder road and BOOK it back to this car to see if I can help.

Upon getting there I find this explorer on it's roof and I proceed to get the driver, her mother and her two kids out of the car and turn off the engine. The lady is obviously freaking out and I ask her what happened? She tells me she doesn't know, everyone was asleep in the car and she must have nodded off because the next thing she knew she was about to run into me and had to swerve to avoid me and then over corrected and went off the road the other way. I said I understood and that sucked and helped get all the rest of their stuff out of the car.

About that time a state trooper pulled up and he starts taking statements and suddenly the grandma gets real talkative and says she needs an ambulance and that I cut them off! The lady who was driving says that she didn't remember it that way but that it was all a blur. I obviously stated what really happened and recounted what the lady told me as we stood there outside of her car, in which case the grandmother started screaming that I was a liar. They finally get the old coot strapped down to the gurney and get her into the ambulance and the family goes with her to the hospital.

The state trooper proceeds to then tell me that I did the right thing by pulling over and coming back to help, but that he would have to give me a ticket for an unsafe lane change because there were conflicting stories and he couldn't see how the accident could have happened otherwise. I was in shock, but I took my ticket and decided to contest it in court. But that ticket was all that was needed to place blame squarely on my shoulders, but being a 18 year old kid I didn't know any better. After that the lady got herself one of those TV lawyers and decided to sue me. I ended up having to go to arbitration (?) and some other stuff over the next several months, and luckily Allstate took care of it, but they ended up settling with the lady for $6,000.

To this day I know that had I just kept driving I never would have had to deal with being sued, or discovering the indecency of people, but there is no way I could have. To this day if I had to do it over again I would have still driven off 45 like a bat out of hell and ran to that family in need.

Favorite/least favorite beer?

I am really a cider guy now a days. I really enjoy Strongbow in a can. In college I drank Keystone by the brick.

Drink of choice?

Vodka Tonic Double Lime, or a John Daily made with Deep Eddy's Sweat Tea Vodka and Simply Lemonade.

What do you want your next vehicle to be?

I don't really have a car I am jonesing after currently. A 911 GT3 or Cayman GT4 would be fun, a hellcat challenger would make a nice cruiser, a new 2016 CTS-V looks nice, but not currently in the market for anything.

How many JCI chili cheese dogs can you eat in one sitting?

3 Maybe?

Which car do you want to shove off a cliff?

Pontiac Aztec. I am trying to think of some other ones but that maybe it.

In your opinion, what is the absolute worst modification that can be done to a vehicle?

Stick on port holes? Yosemite Sam mudflaps? K&N Air Filter?

3 favorite car related activities?

-Sitting around parking lots at late night car meets bull****ting with my friends
-Driving in "Mexico"
-Driving at racing style events (1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, Texas Mile, roll racing, HPDE's)

Preferred city for getting crunk?

College Station or Vegas

Origin of user name?

It's my license plate on my tow rig. Real original I know. I very much regret it now because there is some post ***** with the name Ag_07 who is an even more opinionated ******* than me running around TexAgs. LOL.

Current hometown?

Lucas, Tx

Original hometown?

For the first 14 years of my life it was Rowlett, Tx, and then I spent my high school years in Athens, Tx.

Occupation?

Part Owner/Manager/Sales Person/IT Guy/Hand Holder/Anything Else of a smallish business in Allen, Tx

Without considering cost, if you could give your kids any vehicle when they turn 16, what would you start them in?

A first generation 4x4 Toyota Tacoma with a 4 cylinder and 5 speed manual transmission. Very similar to AggieTaco's truck when we first met like 10 years ago (I don't remember if his was a 4 cylinder or V6).
My girls will learn how to drive a stick, they will have a truck, you can't go anywhere fast in them.

'Talmbout. It was the 3.4. Should have never gotten rid of that truck. Damn thing is worth more now than when I sold it. Only wish they made double cabs with the 5 speed.

That MFer is a definite post wh*re. I thought yall were the same user until you posted this.

And that sucks about you getting sued. I was in a wreck in high school where my gf was the driver. The accident was her fault and the car was totaled, but my stepmom being the b* that she is went ahead and sued her afterwards for damages. I had a mild concussion from the wreck, but nothing that warranted sueing my gf over. People suck.

Hate that people can sue in cases like that. Craziness.

Civil courts seem to be much more vindictive and rely less on burden of proof than criminal courts.

Spouse?

Married to my best friend, business partner and most beautiful woman in the world now for 8 years. We met at A&M when we were 20 and have been inseparable since. We spend 24/7 together and are true partners in crime.

Kids?

I have 2 beautiful girls, 5 and 18 months. Kayla and Evey, they rock my world, and my oldest (Kayla) LOVES riding in daddy's vehicles. She cried when I sold my offroad buggy and my CTS-V. Broke my heart.

Degree in?

Industrial Distribution. Got accepted into Mechanical Engineering out of high school, no placement test, nada, and got kicked out after I sported a 2.82 GPA through 1.5 years while the minimum was 2.85 (shoulda worked harder lol!) I had a lot of credit and searched for the one place it would all be accepted, ID!

It was actually one of the best decisions of my life. I ended up taking a class through ID that taught me how to write proposals. When I came back to work in the family business I took it on myself to grow the business (arrogant ***** that I was, never realizing what I was doing). Ended up getting an RFP with a fortune 500 company and leaned back on my class, and in turn somehow beat out two other companies and secured a nationwide contract for our business that effectively doubled the size of our company within 3 years, and allowed me to become a partner. So my degree has truly paid off.

If you had $50k $100k to spend on a vehicle, what would you buy?

My wife would love a Panamera Turbo, so a slightly used, certified preowned Panamera Turbo for the wife. They lose like half their value when driven off the lot. That or a C7 Z06 for her. Those are the two cars she is jonesing after that she would never pull the trigger on.
