How old were you when you first discovered your passion for vehicles?

Always loved cars growing up. It really took hold in 7th grade when I started reading Car & Driver and all my friends were getting into cars. We always planned what we'd get when we turned 16 and then we really started having fun rebuilding a buddy's engine and turboing a Honda Civic in high school. My mom would always take me to car shows, so cars kind of became something that she and I shared together growing up.

Would you ever lower a truck?

Absolutely would lower classics, but newer trucks just don't fit my taste. The most I'd do with a modern truck is level it out.

What's your preferred jam while hoonage ensues?

Blackhawk Pandora station. Love me some late '80s to mid-90's country.

What's your typical Whataburger order?

Just ate a #1 with BBQ sauce, pickles and cheese with a sweet tea to drink. I usually get a #5, but trying to cut down on the caloric intake.

How do you like your steak cooked?

Medium well filet mignon. Not a huge steak eater to be honest.

If you were to build a sleeper with a typical budget, what vehicle would you use and what power plant would you use?

Rat rodded early '50s Ford pickup with a modern suspension and 427 running through a 5 speed hand shaker and cutouts before hitting the decent sized mufflers.

What state would you reside in if you weren't able to live in Texas?

I'd move back to Florida.

Most f'ed up car/driving story of your life?

Scariest: when my 2002 F150 was rear ended and totaled by a dumbass at 60 mph while I was doing about 10 mph coming up on an accident and my hitch shoved his engine under his car so that he was on top of it and I was PIT maneuvered head on into a concrete divider at high speed. Walked away after they pulled the doors open/apart with just a concussion. First responders said that if I wasn't in a full size truck, I'd probably be dead or very close to it.

Dumbest: running my 2010 F150 on the back roads of western Kansas bouncing off the governor around 2 in the morning. Fun fact, there are lots of wildlife that like to jump in front of headlights coming at them at 100 mph.

Favorite: Bud Light

Least Favorite: IPAs

If not beer, whiskey and coke

Really want a Jeep JK

That's what I got when I was 16.5 fresh off the lot and was the truck that was totaled in 2010.

I enjoyed my F250 at 16, a la a 1991 with a 351W and 4 speed on the floor.

I also learned what VTEC was in my dad's accord. You could see the gas gauge drop.
