2nd or 3rd grade...so 1974... so I was about 7 to 8. We had a transfer student from Japan who barely spoke Korean (I grew up in Seoul) who asked me to help him build one of these.. in Japanese I think. I was like Woah...WTH is that... that can't be real. He's like...yeah, it's a real car. I was hooked.

And I grew up watching "Speed Racer"

Most f'ed up car/driving story of your life?

I have 2.

1. Early 70's...in Seoul Korea.. most people didn't drive. It was either Taxi, Bus, Subway or Chauffeured... was in my dad's company car going somewhere. I was in the front seat with my mom...and our driver driving us. There was a truck in front carrying a full load of automobile gas tanks which were in 2 halves. Several of them were not tied down... and it started to flip up and fly all over the road bouncing around.

One flew directly and hit our front windshield. Holy Chit. It crushed the windshield but none of us got hurt.

2. I have told this story twice on this board. Was living in Little Rock, Arkansas in the mid 90's. was going to work...and where 2 highways merge, I saw a Red newish F150 with Texas A&M Former Student sticker. I flew next to him, honked my horn and gave him a "Gig'Em" thumbs up. He smiled widely and gave me a Gig'Em...

Then he rear ended a car in front of him. OMG....

Dude, I'm so sorry... I'll provide you with a lifetime worth of Viagra.. Call me.

I'm with you on the 360. I was at TWS one weekend watching ride alongs and parked myself by pit row for an hour just to hear them take off. Over and over and over again. Wow what a sound.

My first Guiness was in CS in 1985 my fish year. Remember. .drinking age was still 18 then and I met a classmate from Connecticut. ...and he introduced me to Guiness at of all places, Fuddruckers!

I did 3 years at A&M and transferred to Southern Cal for pharmacy school and girlfriend, now wife. Had enough hours to get the ring but never did. One if my biggest regrets in life
