How old were you when you first discovered your passion for vehicles?
16, When I bought my first truck. 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 5 Speed Stepside in Dark Green $7500 at the time. I had to mow A LOT of grass to be able to buy it with cash. I didn't have much money at that point in life (who does) so that truck didn't really get modded. Later as a sophomore at A&M I worked hard enough one summer to be able to purchase a 2002 Chevy Silverado in Victory Red. That truck received a 6" lift, 35s, gears swap, dual exhaust, cutouts, cat delete, pillar pod with Auto Meter Gauges, limo tint, etc. And still to this date was my favorite truck.

Currently drive a '13 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Lonestar Edition in Silver, only mods are Borla duals and limo tint.

Would you ever lower a truck?
Yes if done tastefully. An early 50s Chevy/Ford lowered with classic chrome wheels and the two tone mid 2000s Ford Harley Davidson F-150 Black/Silver paint scheme.

What's your preferred jam while hoonage ensues?
I like all sorts of music. Three weeks ago I went to see Smashing Pumpkins/Marilyn Manson, this Weds. I'm going to see Incubus. Just depends on my mood, I was the only guy dressed in khakis and a polo when I went to Ozzfest in Dallas a few years ago when Metallica and Ozzy were headlining. But then again I still greatly appreciated seeing Cross Canadian Ragweed at The Texas Hall of Fame (RIP) or Hurricane Harry's back in the day.

What's your typical Whataburger order?
#2 with cheese, mayo, and ketchup served up with a Diet Dr Pepper

How do you like your steak cooked?
Medium rare with a nice crust. I have only eaten two steaks in my life that I prefer over my own, The Palm in downtown Dallas and Cattlemen's in Oklahoma City.

If you were to build a sleeper with a typical budget, what vehicle would you use and what power plant would you use?
I'm not really a need for speed person overall. At one point in college I valeted at a club in Dallas to make extra money during an internship and had my chance to drive Ferraris, Lambos, Vettes, Vipers, etc. Even got a Gallardo up to 185 MPH on 35N in Dallas near Walnut Hill, this was after the owner tossed me the keys and said "have fun." I think I basically got my speed fix for life working there so for me a sleeper is moot.

Aside from the sleeper aspect, my dream vehicle that I will be able to acquire within my means is a:
-1973 Ford Bronco (non half cab and most rare year)
-460 big block or 302 if cutting the budget
-6" lift
-35" mud terrains
-Line X interior
-Updated gauge cluster maybe auto meter
-Two Tone Dallas Cowboys Blue on Top, and Dallas Cowboys Silver on Bottom (no I am not a Cowboys fan, but I have pictured this color scheme for a long time and like it)

What state would you reside in if you weren't able to live in Texas?
Colorado, lots to do year around, beautiful scenery.


Most f'ed up car/driving story of your life?
In my first truck, the ranger, right after I bought it for some damn reason I was curious to see how fast it would go in reverse. So I went to a nearby parking lot, threw the 5 speed in R and ended up getting to about 40 mph before I blipped the wheel and the truck did a 520* without flipping. I sat there after the fact thinking I was an idiot and lucky.

Favorite/least favorite beer?
Favorite Dos XXs Draft with lime COLD
Least Any craft beer (judge me) but it tastes like crap to me.

Drink of choice?
Jameson on the rocks, but I rarely drink liquor anymore. But a good Jack and Coke is good every once in a while.

What do you want your next vehicle to be?
I kinda want to get a wrangler, throw on a simple lift, a few typical jeep mods and just rock it. But I love the sound of a V8 and not sure if after owning 4 V8s in a row with duals, that I could deal with a 6. I'd almost always rather listen to my exhaust when driving than the radio.

Never been there but if I had to guess, maybe 3?

Pontiac Aztek, Scion TC, ANYTHING FIAT.

In your opinion, what is the absolute worst modification that can be done to a vehicle?
Anything that isn't tasteful and in my opinion, less is more with vehicles and I subscribe to K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple Stupid. You see trucks/cars with every accessory on them known to man, looks like Pep Boys threw up on them, looks terrible too me. Too much chrome or for example the redneck that has to have every ranch hand accessory known to man on their truck, grill guard, bumper, headache rack, or MOTHER OF GOD, a light bar, all coupled with a pair of truck nuts and a browning sticker.

Or those stickers that show, mom, dad, 8 kids, cat, dog, etc.

First, I initially would not give my kid a car and would prefer to make them earn it because I did. I kept a job and my grades up all while paying for my first vehicle, insurance, gas, etc. The best deal I would make for my kid (which I don't have any yet) is whatever money you save from working to put towards a vehicle, I will match as a payment for the car.

With that said if I gave them a car, it would probably be a stick shift 15+ year old honda civic. I believe as a youngster having a stick shift definitely makes you double think pulling into traffic knowing you have to work the clutch, etc.

If I had to spend it all on one car, and it was a second car, I'd probably go get a Coyote Mustang Black on Black and hopefully there is room in the budget for header back bassani, supercharger, cammed, tuning, other little mods etc. Not sure what they cost anymore.

If I could split it up, probably $25K towards the Bronco mentioned above, the rest towards a decent muscle/sports/weekend car.

I know, nothing very extravagant but I like what I like.
