Took me 45 minutes to go from Waterway to the south Hardy entrance ramp leaving at 6pm. Was able to take back roads and work my way down to the SB 45 feeder at Pruitt Rd and hop on the ramp there. Everything was a breeze once I was on Hardy though. 1:15 total from my office to my house ITL. I know others had it MUCH worse.

Got home before the worst of it. I don't normally take the GP home, but I did today to avoid some of the craziness. Two of the exits had people turning around to get back on because the roads were flooded right after they got off. We ended up with just over 7" of rain at our house (Spring/Southern Montgomery County)..

Flights in and out of IAH were grounded for over an hour. I think I'm finally getting to take off now.

The storm system is going to be in bands for the Houston area, not one continual rain event.

The rotation in the storm is starting to worry me. This reminds me of Allison where it went through and then spun back around and caused lots of flooding.
But Alison was also moving as fast as Listeater to a salad bar.

It's not really coming through and spinning back. The problem is it's not moving at all. Looks like it's sitting on I-35 north of Austin and just sitting there spinning and we're catching the outer bands.
It needs to move it's ass on and GTFO.
This one will slow down as well if it does spin back. Thankfully it isn't a tropical storm. However, it is still showing a similar pattern.
