Spring Creek has always drained fast. It will be back down to barely a trickle by Monday. I have to say it was unnerving driving over it Wednesday on Riley Fuzzel. It is normally about 40' below the bridge but was just a foot or two under Wednesday. I've never seen it that high before.

Same I drove over it every day this week. Took several photos. I'll take a few again when it drains & post here for comparison.

Can't believe those guys decided to launch a boat. Lucky the air boat got to them.

Looking at NWS, looks like it was up to 103.72' flood stage, so down 18.62' in 72 hours

I usually sleep through storms but nope. Wife woke me up cause the text alerts and tv alerts were going crazy about tornado warnings. She's from the Midwest so a warning to her is get your family to cover asap. I told to stop worrying and go back to sleep, but then the 4yr wanted to stay up and watch the lightning.

I can understand. I grew up in Amarillo and it was the same way. They didn't do "radar indicated" stuff.

If there was a warning, it was duck and cover time for the smart ones, go out and look at the pretty clouds for the dumb ones.

Experienced something similar to that years ago when I crashed at my brother's house to house sit and was sleeping on the couch in the living room. For some reason the surround sound and the satellite receiver decided to switch on but not the TV. It was on some movie where a large mob was storming something and it sounded exactly like they were all outside the house trying to get in.

One of the scariest 30 seconds of my life before I figured out what it was.
