That's on 8 carries, 66 yards. Longest carry is 13 yards in each game, so it's not some 50-yard run jacking up his average.

We know what Owens is. A 4 ypc back who is not shifty and looks a step slower. Morrow isn't much better, but he's better at catching the ball out of the backfield.
Edwards/Baker are just better. It's not like they are going to do worse than Owens running the ball.
Put a dual backfield, one blocks when passing, do some wheel routes, etc on passing downs, run the damn ball with Edwards.
Profit.
