TKO Performance of the Week: Henderson, Horton & Reed

David Nuño: Ryan Henderson, Marcel Reed

• Was Ryan Henderson only the field for four plays? Two tackles for a loss, a sack, a forced fumble, a critical fourth-down stop? Four plays? That guy is going in the Hall of Fame if that’s the kind of numbers in four plays. Good gosh.
   
• Isaiah Horton had four receptions, 76 yards and a touchdown.
   
• Let’s do Marcel Reed. Completed 70 percent of his passes. I heard somewhere he had a 90 percent completion rate in the second half? Mike Elko was defending Reed yesterday.
   
• I don’t remember what it was like with Kellen Mond because I wasn’t here, but I imagine he caught some of the same flak. Outside of Johnny Manziel, most quarterbacks... that’s the sport we are in. Unless you win at the highest level, you aren't appreciated where you should be. Reed falls in that category oftentimes.

Olin Buchanan: Ryan Henderson, Isaiah Horton

• I can come up with a couple of knockout performers. You talk about being efficient. Ryan Henderson was on the field for four plays. He needs to get out there at least five times this week. 
   
• I know he had a fumble, but I was impressed with Isaiah Horton. He went out there and showed why everyone is talking about him in the offseason. Led the Aggies with 76 receiving yards. Third-highest receiving total in his career.
   
• Reed was excellent. I was really impressed with Reed a couple of times. There were a couple of times where he threw the ball away instead of forcing a play and creating a turnover. Don’t just look at the plays he made; look at the plays he didn’t make.
   
• It’s funny, there was a sports writer who said Kellen Mond should stop playing quarterback, and he left here as the all-time leading passer. That said, if Reed just matches last year’s passing yards, 3,169 yards, he will end the season as the second all-time leading passer. If he comes back for another year, he will pass Mond. He needs to not force a play, but throw the ball away.
