No. 10 Marcel Reed, Quarterback: Reed had a solid outing in a season-opening victory over Missouri State. He completed 70 percent of his passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. A potential third touchdown pass was deflected off a receiver’s outstretched hands. That was the 16th game in his career in which Reed threw multiple touchdown passes. Reed also rushed for 20 yards on seven carries.
