Press Conference: Hicks, Owens speak after A&M's first August practice

Fall camp is officially open in Aggieland as Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies returned to the practice field for their first August workout ahead of the 2026 campaign. Following Wednesday's practice, DJ Hicks and Rueben Owens II addressed the media.

Love how he owned the stumbling / balance piece of his game that he knew he needed to get in order. Both are very mature dudes. If Pettiway gets into a game at the same time as Hicks and Samford there will be three Katy Paetow grads on the field together. Pretty cool.
