• Trovon Baugh has become a primary contender to start.
   
• It will be hard to beat out Baugh at guard. He is one of the biggest offensive linemen that A&M has had. He is a veteran of the SEC trenches and weight room. Looking at him now vs. what he looked like before he got here, it is eye-opening in the progress made in one offseason under Tommy Moffitt. It is a testament to what A&M does in the offseason in the weight room.
   
• Baugh is a man mountain. He won't be the quickest or most nimble guy. He will remind you of a Chase Bisontis in terms of strength and physicality. Bisontis had very unusual athleticism for his size, which is why he went right outside of the first round. Baugh can replicate some of that physicality and will move guys off of the line of scrimmage. That will be a point of emphasis for the Aggies upfront, displacing defenders and getting them out of the way. What held A&M back in the last few games of last season? People blame it all on Reed, but look at the rushing numbers from the first three games of the season to the last three games. They weren't able to run the ball at all, and that comes from not being able to root guys off the line of scrimmage. That is what Baugh can do, and do it really well. It makes him a real asset to this group. You are taking guys from big SEC schools like Wilkin Formby from Alabama, Tyree Adams and Coen Echols from LSU. They also went out and took Baugh from South Carolina.
