- The biggest lesson is not to say anything provocative in July. It is tempting, and everyone wants to get their bold prediction out. It's not that I study the game any less or pay any less attention, but when you get to July, what do you really know? If you compress the league and the talent is more evened out, there will be a bunch of one-possession games.
